Hi There, Great page on the railroad. I was wondering if you had, or knew where to find employee records from the late 1800's and early 1900's.

I am specifically looking for the last name of Farrell.

HI STEVE,
GREETINGS FROM PWLLHELI NORTH WALES.
I HAVE AN UNCLE WHO IS AN ARTIST AND IS ABOUT TO PAINT A PICTURE FOR A LOCAL EXHIBITION OF RAILWAY SCENES AND HE IS TRYING TO RECOLLECT A SIGHT HE SAW LONG AGO WHEN WAITING AT A LEVEL CROSSING IN ST JOHN NEW BRUNSWICK WHEN A GRAIN TRAIN CAME OVER REVERSING FALLS BRIDGE INTO ST JOHN DOUBLE HEADED BY TWO LOCOMOTIVES WHICH HE THINKS WERE CP BECAUSE OF THE COLOUR, WHICH WAS LIGHT RED.WE'VE FOUND QUITE A FEW PHOTOS FROM YOURS AND MANY OTHER SITES BUT CANNOT BE CERTAIN OF WHAT TYPE THEY ACTUALLY WERE. HE SEEMS TO REMEMBER THE SIDE RUNNING PLATE HAD A DOWNWARD CURVE SIMILAR TO ROYAL HUDSON BUT OF COURSE WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ON THAT RUN? WOULD YOU KNOW IF IT COULD HAVE BEEN A 2800 HUDSON 464? WE'R HOPING YOU CAN BE OF HELP TO US ON THIS AS THE YEAR WAS 1955.
AS HE WAS AT THE ST JOHN END OF REVEARSING FALLS BRIDGE AT THE TIME WE CANNOT FIND A SATISFACTORY PICTURE FROM THE LEVEL CROSSING OF THIS SIDE FOR THE PAINTING.
WE REALLY HOPE YOU CAN BE OF HELP TO US ON THIS AND LOOK FORWARD TO A REPLY,
KIND REGARDS
ALWYN.
