The Child Without (rewrite)

The child within lay trapped
Inside the somber man
One day a lady came skipping by
And reached within to take his hand
She drew him past the walls of doubt
And they danced under the pale moonlight
No more these chains of sorrow
Only joy and love, and freedom.

This is a rewrite of the original, which I unfortunately lost. :(

I tried to rewrite it in the spirit of the original one - by re-reading The Child Within and The Child Without II, and reading my diary entries from that time. Research. ;)
