The 4-track staging yard representing Truro, NS and points westward. Each track can hold between 4 and 6 cars plus the engine. I would like the yard to have more capacity, but the room dimensions prevent longer tracks without sacrificing other features. |

A closeup of the end of the Truro staging yard. I intend to replace these end tracks with rerailers to assist in putting cars into staging. |

A view of the benchwork under the Truro staging yard. I use L-girder construction for the benchwork, with plywood or boards for the subroadbed. You can also see the backdrop (with blue sky and clouds) hiding the staging yard. Note the bookshelf under the layout for storage. |

This is the Windsor & Hantsport staging area. The two tracks terminate just short of the backdrop. There is capacity for a 3-4 car consist plus engine. I do not anticipate long trains on the W&H. |

The Windsor Junction station. This is the only scenicked part of the layout so far. I still have to spray the station with some Dullcote to take that shine off. The station rests on a base of plywood covered with plaster and paint. The brown edge is scale ties built up with field grass planted in front. The Windsor and Hantsport trackage is visible in the background. |

Looking south from Windsor Junction. To the right is the team track where wood and other materials will be transloaded. |

Looking north into Windsor Junction. The station is visible in the background. |

The current end-of-line, just after the switch to go to Dartmouth. The train is on a 2 percent grade up, and the helix will start right after the end shown here. The support post shown will probably be removed once helix construction starts. |
