  New Brunswick Railways | Fredericton

Fredericton used to be served by both CP and CN, but by 1995 no trains were to be seen. There are a few forgotten sections of track left in the city, but in general the trains have vanished and left the ubiquitous walking trails.

Fredericton Station
The dilapidated stationhouse in Fredericton. This is currently owned by
the Irvings, who apparently plan to build an office complex next door.
Some people are attempting to restore it. Please support them.

Fredericton Train Bridge
The former train bridge across the Saint John River. It is now a walking bridge.

CN refrigerator car, Fredericton
One of the two remaining railroad cars (CN 235058) in Fredericton. This currently
rests behind the Northumberland Dairy facility in Devon (next to the former
CN yard), and is apparently in active use as a storage barn.

Devon Replica Station
This community policing building is built where the former "station" was at the South Devon
CN yard. The walking trail in the foreground was the track leading north from the train
bridge to the CN South Devon yard, which would have been in the background of this photo.
The railroad car above is not far from this picture's location.
