  New Brunswick Railways | Chipman

The CN main line runs through Chipman.

Chipman's main industry is the Irving lumber mill, which is served by a short spur from the main line. CN Chipman has a small yard with several tracks, and some maintenance-of-way (MOW) equipment. I visited there in late January 2000 and found a snowplow, a bogie-equipped front-end loader, and a couple of bogie-equipped pickups.

Caboose, Chipman
The Chipman museum, in a former CN caboose (formerly #79318). From here, you have a great view of the long railway bridge over the river (seen on the next page).

Rail bridge, Chipman
The rail bridge in Chipman. Off the right-hand side of the bridge is a small yard by the Chipman depot.
